As my vacancy requires candidates to be fluent English speakers, surely it will be good enough to post the job description in English?

Most recruiting channels in China will only post vacancies with JDs in Chinese, and Chinese job seekers prefer to search for job opportunities in their native language as well, even if they can speak perfect English. A JD in Chinese is highly recommended so that you have much wider access to local talent.
