The Coronavirus pandemic is creating a major impact on eCommerce and retailor industry worldwide. It also raises a lot of questions: How has consumer behaviour changed? How did Covid-19 affect Chinese eCommerce businesses? What are the potential legacies of the pandemic? How do you react as a brand who want to engage with Chinese consumers digitally?

In this Q&A session, is pleased to invite Sunny Xu, Global eCommerce Director of Unilever, as our eCommerce expert to answer practical questions from businesses trading or looking to trade with China, especially during the difficult times with the Covid-19 pandemic at the home market.

Participants can sign up to the online session and submit the questions through in advance), and our experts will go through these questions during the live online Q&A session after a brief update about industry trends. These questions are not meant to be confidential in their nature so the participants can learn what’s going on in their industry in China from a broader participation by their peers.

Sunny is the Unilever Alibaba global eCommerce Director. She is leading the strategic partnership and growth agenda between Unilever and Alibaba globally since 2018. Prior to Unilever, Sunny managed the first online direct to consumer water business at Nestle. She Joined Unilever in 2011 in Shanghai, as the founding team member in the China eCommerce team. Sunny has grown China Unilever business and team exponentially in 6 years’ time with her entrepreneurial mindset and broad skillsets across digital marketing, customer development, route to market and change management. With her deep insights in Asia and international experiences and education in Cambridge MBA program, she has unique expertise in setting international brands up for success in China and other Asian markets. She also has strong passion to inspire and coach people’s personal development and career change.
