Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Crayfish.io are hosting an event on the Chinese market this 20th September, companies will also have the opportunity to book one-to-one meetings with our Chinese market experts.

Who are the speakers?

Lord Wei of Shoreditch is the first British-born person of Chinese origin to have become a member of the House of Lords. He is the creator of the Wei report which assessed how Manchester could do more with China, one of whose recommendations led to the creation of the Manchester China Forum, of which he is a founding member of the Board. He is also founding and former partner of the Shaftesbury Partnership, Teach First, and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. With insight and deep experience in technology, innovation, management consulting, venture capital and social enterprises, he is passionate about building enterprises with China and brings a shared vision for helping more UK SMEs to trade with China.

Ting is the Founder & CEO of Crayfish.io. She has 20+ years experience of UK-China international business, trade and investment and has personally guided many British entrepreneurs and helped them achieve better results in doing business with China. She previously established China Business Solutions which then became one of the most reputable China specialist consultancies in Europe. In her continuous pursuit for a more efficient and affordable way to facilitate international trade with China, Ting launched Crayfish.io in 2017, the first online platform dedicated to English-Chinese bilingual business services.

Jiao Li is an e-commerce and digital marketing professional and the Co-Founder of Crayfish.io. After achieving top marks at the London School of Economics, she went on to become Unilever’s E-commerce and Digital Manager, where she led a cross-functional team in UK and China to relaunch a key range of 60 products in e-commerce, and developed and led successful social media and website campaigns. Jiao is passionate about digital marketing and she is keen to help Western brands to reach out and interact with their Chinese audiences in a smarter and more engaging way.

Costs: This event is free of charge, but registration is required.

 

Cancellation Terms

In case you are no longer able to attend this event, please note you must cancel your place at least 5 working days before the event. The cancellation must be in writing and sent to exportbritain@gmchamber.co.uk indicating the event you are cancelling for and delegate(s) details. Failure to do so will incur in a cancellation fee as follows: £10+VAT for members per delegate and £15+VAT for non-members per delegate.
